Especially when worn by that idiot TV presenter Tim Shaw aged 46, (Car SOS) who also insists on calling everyone 'Dood' and defining things as 'Cool'. Grow old with style for goodness sake silly man with his puerile unfunny intercessions ruining a perfectly good programme.

Glad to say that until reading your post, I had never heard of him. As mum would have said, ‘mutton dressed as lamb’

Never heard of him either but I bet he's one of the first with the stylized cod-piece...Kind of apt though, a cod-piece for a pr.ick..

My late father in law who was brought up in a poor family couldnt bare anything with a hole or a tear in it.  My husband said if he saw a hole in his kids trousers, he would rip it and give them money for a new pair.  Poor man he' d be skint now paying out for all the holey jeans.  Going around like that is an insult to the poor of the world.

When my late brother Vernon’s eldest boy, John, was about 15, his out of school ‘uniform’ was a pair of ripped jeans. Whilst he was at school one day, granny came round, found the jeans and kindly mended them for him! Not amused.

Never a follower of fashion, but I wouldn’t call the Teddy Boy lok stupid, unlike many fashions, some of which, including that in the OP, simply grotesque

I much prefer the torn jeans to them being worn not pulled up. That I think is disgusting and they must be uncomfortable like that. Not that I like torn jeans but if I had to choose.

Fashion?
I for one don't really know (or care about) the meaning of the word, and to be honest, everyone's opinion/definition would differ (just check out my wardrobe) for me there are only two things that decide today's clobber, the temperature and what's still clean  ;D

I studied dress design and pattern cutting for five years. I created fashion but in those days, it was by comparison, so boring....As anything a bit out of what was already in mode, was not saleable....The fabrics were so boring....the styles, had to follow what was there before.....I think nowdays I would have had a great time with all the Wonderful incredible fabrics available ! And it is exciting to see everybody expressing how they feel, in wearing what
makes them feel free and happy ! I loved the miny skirt....and the see through dresses....I have photos of me in my honeymoon in Venice (1946)
wearing hot pants...or trousers....and my dresses hems, above the knees !!! Lovely memories....gmx

I agree. Lots of young people here, two universities.  Half the wearer's time is spent hoiking them up before their underwear is completely exposed!   At least clothes can be disposed of once people grow up a bit and realise how daft they look.  On the other hand, noticeable tattoos, facial piercings and ridiculous lip fillers can leave permanent reminders.
Just because you’re offended doesn’t mean you’re right.
