I used to wear a hat to work when I commuted by bus, but then started to cycle to work -economising - then by car, so a hat wasn’t really practical

I drive with my hat on when the weather is inclement, saves me having to carry an umbrella for when I get out..

Can’t wear a hat, as opposed to the baseball cap - it would press against the car roof

Reminds me of the apocryphal tale of the Texan who boasted to a guest that it took all day to drive from one side of his ranch to the other.

I should think that would be an advantage on a bumpy road.

Not if it gets forced down over my eyes - my driving is bad enough when I can see!

As this one seems more popular than the threads I gave up on it for ....

https://order-order.com/2020/09/28/andrew-neil-explains-gb-news/

In a wide-ranging interview on Sky News this morning, GB News Chairman Andrew Neil revealed that:
If the BBC had made a more generous offer earlier in the Summer he would have been tempted to stay with the organisation.

He is sceptical of the government’s approach to the “serious matter” of appointing a new Chairman of the BBC, saying “Charles Moore’s knowledge of broadcasting is pretty close to zero”.

He thinks Paul Dacre is a “formidable individual” and a “fiercely hard worker”, yet argues public appointments are becoming too politicised.

“When we launched Sky Television, I remember everyone saying it would fail. I’ve been at my happiest as a disrupter, as an insurgent.”

Plus more in the article that I didn't copy for anybody interested.

For anybody interested in GB News who didn't follow this old hat please ignore thread all I can say is - tough you'll need to follow the news of it yourself.
So long and thanks for all the fish

Yes..I was talking of my car-before-this Corolla which did affect my hat. The Corolla has a much better ride height and more head-room.

It clearly didn't because somebody started one and I binned this one when I saw first your post and then that thread but that dedicated thread went nowhere either.

This one has loads of replies because of all the rebels here who won't be told what to do which was IGNORE THIS GODDAM THREAD  ;D

when we were in our youth six footers were not the norm, so our heads touching the roofs of cars was not unusual.... now our cars have seats that goes up and down...luckily... i have never had a Corola, but i'm sure there might be an adjustment Zoon old boy...

My dear Ol' Crab, I'm afraid you misunderstood my clumsy post..The Corolla is just fine. The car before it was the problem one.

There is one type of car specially designed to cater for the wearing of toppers but I hope my own ride in one is a good way off.
