Sad, wistful sort of combination

I suppose one could also say ‘bitter-sweet’ depending on circumstances. For instance, listening to Annie’s Song, the lyrics remind me of what I have lost in losing Veronica ‘let me die in your arms’  rings a lump to the throat. There is also the thought that he died so tragically young.
To me that is an expansion of poignant - probably more than you wanted to hear!

Why would anyone want to listen to music that made them sad ?   I guess it's why I was never a fan, I need music to cheer me up and put a smile on my face.  😄

Sadness is an element of who we are. Trying to pretend sadness does not exist is, for me, shutting ones eyes to reality. For an example, for me, Tuesdays are always sad, because Veronica died on a Tuesday. Not something I can pretend didn’t happen, nor something to which I can close my mind. Every week has a Tuesday, every week always will

I’m intrigued, but have a feeling that I don’t really want to know!
