Council House Gutter Cleaning,
« on: Oct 13, 2020, 09:59:04 PM »
A man was complaining BCC was late cleaning his gutters this time and the excuse they gave was the shortage of staff due to coronavirus.
Surely he could clean them himself or get somebody in for about £100.

He's paying rent and expects the property to get its routine maintenance which he pays for. As would I.

I expect the council staff are too busy putting up signs in the street.

Perhaps they've been busy cleaning up after one of those council booze ups we keep reading about every week or two.

A wise choice. Especially as you are clearly a regular guest at those council booze ups or you'd never know so much detail.

Ode to Birmingham.

If the council were not made up of nutters,
They might have come round and cleared my gutters.

I'm not sure all the nutters have anything to do with the council. 😏

Presumably people who climb ladders to clean gutters are gyte as most of us
just work the shovel or the graip down the side of the pavement.

Who ever heard of aerial gutters?

Oh, and since when did Council Houses have their own stretches of pavement?
Surely all pavements in towns are council property anyway.
