I too think we should leave the clocks alone. I could never see any sense in it.

Well, after all we are the Free Old.. Eat when we're hungry, drink when we wish and get up when nature insists.. On the other side of the rainbow the world turns as it will and all those people that politicians profess to care about, those 'hard working families' are bubbling and struggling.. It's a Wonderful World..Oooh, Yeahhh..(Hic!)

No chance of forgetting what time or day it is surrounded by my tribe of computers, tablets and the smartass phone. Even the new CCTV camera knows what time and date it is.

Because I'm still up I've remembered the clocks, at least some of them.

Smug one here did them last night. Only the car and the timer controlled lights now, executive decision to leave them for the morning

Blast. The car. I thought I'd done all the clocks. It will probably get done just before it's time to go forward again like last year. My previous car got the time from the radio and never needed setting.
So long and thanks for all the fish

A few years ago I had an Astra. Trying to alter the clock was a right pain, so some years I just didn’t bother

I agree. Shall we rebel and leave them where they are

Our politicians have been talking about ending this crazy ritual for ages, but just like everything else, talk is all the gormless prats  ever do.

The big problem lies with Scotland. Even here – 13 miles north of Perth, if the clocks stay unchanged, in mid-December sunrise won’t be until 0945, with sunset at 1640. Further north it’s even worse. By the time you get to Inverness the times are 0958 and 1630 respectively - and those timings depend on clear skies, not exactly the norm up here in winter.
So, in practical terms, in my area a dull day would see it still dark at ten in the morning, in Inverness quarter of an hour later.
On a purely personal basis, I would be happy to see the clocks stay unchanged - as things stand, on a dull day it is effectively dark soon after three, but that's not how most folk see it.

I get all out of sorts with the clock change, maddening, wish they'd select a time mode and then leave it be.

Thing is, it doesn't make any more daylight, no matter what the clock says. So, does it matter what time the sun rises and sets?

Won't have to take my little dog for her morning walk in the dark when I play golf on Tuesdays. Could be my last game for a while when Nottingham put into Tier 3. Hopefully not out lying districts.
