Why phone me?.
« on: Oct 26, 2020, 01:55:29 AM »
A lady has phoned me saying she is short of money. What a surprise. I told her 40 years ago to join the pension scheme and she told me I was stupid paying in to the pension scheme. She said the government will look after her.

So it's a woman you've known for 40 years & who must have kept in touch to know your phone number.

Perhaps a man in a pub gave it to her?

Just realised who I've replied to. I should probably rephrase that in the circumstances  ;D

It's obvious that the caller sees Brian as a font of wisdom and sound advice.

I wonder what advice the lady got. Get a job? Sell your house? Tap up your kids? Walk-instead-of-taking-the-bus? Get rid of the telly? Have your pets rehomed? Eat less? Turn the heating down? Do your own hair? Have bread pudding for Sunday lunch? Marry a multi millionaire (other than me me)?
