People Should Die “Swiftly and Promptly” After 75
« on: Nov 12, 2020, 09:58:14 AM »
Or apparently so says Biden's new coronavirus adviser Dr Ezekiel J. Emanuel

Six years ago, a distinguished American oncologist published an essay in The Atlantic. In ‘Why I Hope to Die at 75’ Dr Ezekiel J. Emanuel argued that for most people “creativity, originality and productivity are pretty much gone” by 75.

Accordingly, society as a whole would be improved if nature took “its course swiftly and promptly”. Medicine has extended life spans, but it has done little to make life worth living in old age, Emanuel argued at the time:

So long and thanks for all the fish

Well, to be perfectly honest, without Veronica life isn't much cop, but I don't intend to do anything about it - but on the other hand, I was 80 when she died and up to that point life was very much worth living

Thank you for the days, the days you gave me.

My life is worth living, you can go terminate yourself at 75 if you like Dr Emanual I still have four years to go and I hope more besides.

So why would this doctor advise a President of 77? hypocritical or what?

I will be 75 in 2 years from February and I have my 2 daughters, 4 granddaughters and the other grandparents to live for.
I also have Andy and Peter.

So in simple terms you're 72.
