She certainly had quite a lot to say on the 8th. A lot of of it complaints about other posters. She may have mentioned it earlier but maybe I'd already given up reading her posts by then.

Just got my letter re winter fuel allowance, promising to send me £200 in the near future. As I am new to state pension and it took them a long time to send me my state pension I will not be holding my breath.

When it arrives, I will spend it wisely, especially with the current fuel crisis.

Either I will buy a whole case of the 2007 Haut Medoc, or a half case of the 2018 Sancerre Rouge.

From memory the payment arrives very close to the notification. Should you be mraried you will generously be giving up half of it to your wife when she gets her pension.

I think there is an extra hundred which might cover a few day's gas by the time you get it.

We’ve both had our letters, no payment yet.

As for ‘Temperence’ I think that was just another incarnation of a multiple named poster…..😐

You should use it as you wish and power to yer elbow. I'm very grateful for it and with the Power company's warm homes discount I don't worry about warmth and ventilation at the same time all winter.

Got the letter a while back but no money. I thought they usually turned up more or less together in the past.

I don’t know.  OH’s letter is dated a few days before mine, he’s a few months older, I wondered if they are perhaps regional, then DOB?

When you reach 80, your pension goes up by 25pence a week!

Something to look forward to.

Mike.
