BBC wimps...
« on: Nov 19, 2020, 07:40:50 PM »
BBC Radio 1 will not play the original version of Fairytale of New York by The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl this Christmas, because its audience may be offended by some of the lyrics.

The station said young listeners were particularly sensitive to derogatory terms for gender and sexuality.

Groan....
You'll have had your tea.

According to my newspaper three months after the subsidy was scrapped 1.4 million over 75s have yet to pay for their TV licence. Looks like the 1.4 million are the only people left in the country with balls.

I doubt the BBC will persue the money. They won't want the adverse publicity. They won't say a thing hoping not to encourage more to hang on to the cash.

I think it's one of the best Christmas songs, most of which I dislike, ever written and the Pogues and Kirsty Macoll's performance of it is unrivaled. It'll always be on my play list..

Censorship at the Biased Broadcasting Corporation again.  I shall get my CD with it on and play it good and loud.

Apparently its faggot they object to, so they said on TV this morning, one word in a great song, what has this country come to, being offended is the new national sport, but what gets me is those who decide whats offensive on others behalf.

Poor old Beeb..That it stoops so to garner nowt but disdain from the folk that most use it.. It's sad but I no longer feel an allegiance to or with it.

;D ;D Very chucklesome..He somehow reminded me of the taxi driver that got confused with some expert and ended up on live tv being interviewed as that expert.. ;D

It seems OK to have a black TV presenter on Ghanian TV, I wonder if they have woke idiots telling them they should have a white man?

I HATE that song with a furious passion.
