Black Friday
« on: Nov 20, 2020, 09:09:27 AM »
After adopting other American habits like McD's and Halloween we seem to have adopted something called Black Friday. I have no idea what this is (is it some sort of Christmas pre-sale?) or exactly when it falls. All I know is that it may be today or in a week's time. This country says it wants to be independent so why adopt the worst US practices?

It's a money maker for businesses both on and off line. I avoid the Supermarkets and the town while it's on. Its a massive pre Christmas sale, at least I see it that way.

It's today (I think). Aren't you excited?

The amusing thing is that they figured that people would put off buying stuff until the magic day in case there were reductions so now they either start the "Friday" sale a week or more early or promise to refund the difference if they reduce it later.
So long and thanks for all the fish

Shop seemed to be empty this morning, maybe because it's freezing cold.
