I think I understand since having to do the shopping on line with my wife giving me instructions. Some washing powder has to be exactly the right one and that goes for every other item, Ii can take ages if we haven't purchased the item before. Then I have to revisit the web site to either cancel a product or change it for something else.

I think it's a good idea because if my wife asks for "nuts" I have to guess. "Pepper", "Fish"... need I say more?

I guess it's open to interpretation, but I thought as men have difficulty finding things, instead of a list , photos of required items would be useful 😀😀

I thought it was funny! I can just see my first wife cutting the pictures out of a catalogue.

The lists I get are often ambiguous and I have to phone for clarification. A good reason for avoiding Tesco as in the two of their stores I've been in you can't use a mobile. I don't know if they use call jammers or if it's just coincidence but the one at home you need to get well away from the store to make a call.

Don't any of you go through the list and discuss briefly? Now and again I write a shopping list but always go quickly through it to make sure things are clear..'course, I am a paragon..apparently..

Sorry, don't get it..

Neither do I as it's a grid, not a list. ;D

On the few occasions I am sent forth with a list I do get some things explained.

In shop...

Sometimes it looks obvious but turns out not to be when there are two different things on the shelves with the name written down. eg there are several sorts of Oxi Action powder

Sometimes what is on the list is out of stock but there is an alternative - bring it or leave it?

Sometimes the brand name is written down and I'm in Lidl so which of their names corresponds with what is on the list?

I think the picture list is a good idea but it would have to be in order of the shelves in the supermarket.

After months of deliveries, Paul went to the shop by himself.  I asked him to check the meat as it would be good to have something other than chicken or cod loin.  I don't trust the shop to choose some lean meat for us.

He came back with a chicken but no vegetables to go with it but he did manage to pick up a bottle of Baileys.

Why would he buy vegetables? You asked him to check out the meat!

Silly question there zoony. Surely you must have realised at some point that wives expect their husbands to be psychic when fulfilling their dearest's needs.  :)
