I have tried malt whisky Raven but never found one I like. Just as well because I am only paying £15 ltr for this one.

Never tried Highland Earl.  I do keep a bottle of 'Famous Grouse' for mixing.

I've recently got a taste for "Sweet smoke" from the Isla Bay distillery  in Girvan.  My favourites - "The Glenlivit" 18 y.o and Lagavuilin 16 y.o have become ridiculously expensive of late.
You'll have had your tea.

Famous Grouse is what I get for Christmas and Birth day presents so I am pretty sure you will like this one but its an Aldi brand. I drink both neat.

Highland earl came out top of the blended whiskies. It is very reputable and going quickly up the league tables.Aldi is no longer considered cheap and nasty.

We have The "Wolfburn" Distillery up here in Thurso. After ceasing to operate in the 1860s it reopened in 2013. I love their mascot of the Sea Wolf that stands outside. According to ancient lore, the sea wolf 'did live both on sea and land. ' Walking on water is not its only gift, it also brings good luck to all those fortunate enough to see it. ;D ;D
