« on: Nov 26, 2020, 08:15:49 PM »
If pubs cannot serve alcohol unless they serve food then why are supermarkets allowed to sell it/in wales lockdown you could only buy essenital items so it should work the same with alcohol if pubs cant sell why should supermarkets?

The whole thing is nonsense.

Do I need to wear a face mask?
Yes, in line with Government legislation, you are required to wear a mask while in our communal areas but these can be removed while seated in our restaurant.

I can see the distinction. You can't drink it in Tesco even if you buy it there. I presume the fear is that people might start to enjoy life again und das ist verboten.

Perhaps they don't mind if you get legless at home but in the pub and outside it just spreads the bug when people are loud or argumentative and staggering about or just in high spirits..

The regulations aren't intended to be connected to the selling of alcohol, they're only intended to be connected to the risk factors based on where & how it's sold.

Exactly.  So there is logic in the rules.

Interestingly, a large number of Tory backbenchers are asking to see the evidence, which so far is not forthcoming.

Exactly.  So there is logic in the rules.

Yes there is logic, despite the huge effort to ridicule the Government's attempts to curb the spread of Covid.

I'm pleased that the whole of Lincolnshire has been put into tier 3, despite the fact that I would imagine it's unlikely that hospital visiting will be reinstated any time soon.
