One would hope they'd be given a good square meal and then set up with some sort of social worker to deliver something half-decent to eat
everyday until relatives (who should know better than leave Granny or Granddad to starve) can be contacted and told a few home truths.

BUT, this has got bugger-all to do with 'rights' or other fanciful things dreamt up by people with nothing else to do with themselves: AND
it does have a lot to do with both Common sense and Human decency.
