For introducing me to those crampons. They are brilliant! Enabled me to have a decent walk today for the time in well over a week
Mike 👍👍👍👍👍

Great arn't they.  ;D  As I think I told you......I choose what pair of boots are to be for walking during the winter, struggle like mad to get them onto said boots, and there they stay till spring. Then they get a wash till next winter and stored where I can easily find them. ;D

I wish you hadn't said that! Whenever I put something away where I can easily find it when needed - I think you can guess the rest

Oh, and it was a fairly light pair of shoes onto which I forced them, so I have ordered the larger size which, all being well, will go on my boots. I used the shoes to walk yesterday in total confidence even on ice patches, but because the shoes are light, my feet were frozen when I got home - I have a nice pair of warm boots...

Once mine are washed n dried I put them in my sock drawer, at the back on the bottom. I know where they are then.. ;)

You can thank my mother for that. She always said "a time for everything and everything in it's place" she would hound us kids to keep our things that way. It rubbed off as it became a way of life for me. Organised Annie.  ;D

One of my colleagues at the university used to keep his papers in 2 "heaps" and yet he could find anything he wanted within 5 minutes!

Needless to say with my background as a librarian all mine were neatly filed in drawers.

Today I used my boots equipped with the larger pair of crampons. Worked every bit as well as the first pair and do have an advantage. The only pair of shoes that I could persuade to accept the first pair of crampons were quite lightweight, with the result that the crampons compress the uppers, which in turn squeeze my toes a bit, so I wouldn't want to work a long distance in them  - but pinched toes, and we are talking mild discomfort, not crippling pain, is a tiny price to pay for the confidence they engender in being able to walk on really treacherous surfaces
The boots are every bit as confidence inspiring and totally comfortable!
Once again , Raven, many thanks

Your welcome, :)  These are mine, they're on my hiking boots. I wear them every day for walking with the dog. As you can see they're getting quite worn, might invest in a new pair for next Winter.

If I may make so bold - your tootsies must be smaller than mine (not hard) as mine have ten studs - but again, can't thank you too much

I'm a size 6 or EU 39. Had these for around 6 years. The new ones are yellow and have more studs than these.
