Gritters are out n about but they stick to the bus routes, and expect the public to follow. The farmers here my OH included, are the ones who clear all the side roads. If it wasn't for them there would be people who would not be able to get to the shops ect.

I image it's going to be the same in many rural areas.


We've escaped this freeze so far but last time we had one we could have done with some farmers here for what good the council are. If it freezes  [size=100%]here then things could become quite hazardous - people will be tripping over the piles of frozen leaves on the footpaths which haven't been swept up yet and if this year is anything like every predecessor I recall they'll still be there when I go back to the caravan even if that happy day gets put back as I expect it will.[/size]
