Bikers screech to a halt to allow a TIGER to cross a road in India Bikers in central India got shock when this 40st Bengal tiger decided to stroll across busy road, forcing them to slam on the brakes. The deadly predator was pictured strolling across busy road just feet away from the oncoming traffic in the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve. One year, when we were being driven from the airport to the hotel, we were told that last time the driver came that way he thought there was a fallen tree across the road.  It was a king cobra and he had to wait for someone to come and move it.

We went to a meeting in the hotel where the local snake catcher gave a talk about his work.  He had brought some of his latest catches.  Some of the staff had been allowed to come to the meeting and were peeping round the door as they wouldn't come into the room!  We were sitting, very trusting, in the front row and Paul handled some of the snakes.

Ive held a few snakes and lizards in my time. I love reptiles.
