for some time now we have been directed by our own surgeries to attend the A&E
its just another way for the GPs to overwhelm the NHS... just as sending us for scans that reportedly cost the service £1000 a time....they are doing an all out assault on the service and should be prosecuted for malpractice...

The public will end up turning on them. It will be their own fault and why should they get to hide when Hospital Doctors are working, Dentists are working, Others have worked right through every lockdown :'(  SO WHY are they not seeing face to face appointments and getting back to normal. >:(

Has anyone tried ringing 111?

Good news
Mike

Good news & good luck that Scotland didn't get its independence & can still rely on the UK miltary.

I wonder how many lemons Krankie sucked as she was begging for help?

Luckily not had to , my GP is now back up and running getting back to some sort of normality

And mine, but I had good service out of hours with 111. Makes sense (to me) to ring them as they can arrange appointments at the walk in centre, get a doctor to ring and prescribe, order an ambulance if you need it.

When my wife was all but abandoned by our GP surgery the 111 call handler was excellent, ambulance within 15 minutes & straight into hospital.

It's just a shame that all the previous months of neglect had made her eventual outcome very poor.

talking about the army having to help out its hardly surprising when you reckon the thousands in hospital with covid...how do they get there?... Ambulance... and what must you do after contact with Covid?...Isolate, so every ambulance crew that delivered a Covid victem should have immediately been sent home to isolate.... a funny thing i have noticed, in bygone days at least once a month you would hear the Americans had to call out the Home Guard... i havent heard it mentioned for years has it gone?... i suppose our Territorial Army will have almost gone as well after getting sent into Iraq ect. hardly weekend warriors..
