Vetting and Barring Authority
« on: Feb 09, 2010, 11:05:09 AM »
Run by another new multi million pound government quango.

The idea is to vet millions of innocent people (and charge stealth tax) who
could come into contact with children.

Who are the vulnerable children that need to be protected?

Probably those allowed to roam round the streets at all times of the day and night.
Allowed to visit 'Uncles' alone. Meet ever changing friends of their Mother at breakfast
time and watch whatever they want on TV and DVD.

But those with the closest contact and likely to be predators are not vetted or given
a second glance. Yes someone in the family or relative, or supposed friend.

This is a very sensitive subject and one that needs to be dealt with and organised correctly.

I cannot speak on the remit of that "quango" as you did not give us a link to follow on it but all I know is that in order to find as many of the "dodgy" characters out there as we can and put a watch on them in order to protect children we sometimes have to give up a bit of our own freedom.

It is my experience that likely child offenders are very good at hiding amongst ordinary and decent people and because of this quality it is not easy to keep track on them.

As far as I see it, anything that makes this job easier for the authorities the better, and if this means that some innocent people are vetted then so be it.

As I usually say in situations like these......."Anyone who is innocent has nothing to fear from such enquiries !"

This subject is not that sensitive in a society that has sunk
below the moral water line.

This society has enough safeguards in place already, if
it decides to use or check them.

This is a stealth tax and targets the innocent.

You may recall that originally even if another Mother
looked after another's Mother's child after school or
similar arrangement. They was going to have to
pay a vetting tax of £64.

Labour had to step  down on that one and other parts of this.

I love the wool pulling over people's eyes on this matter.

They know that they are going to make millions on this matter -
if you don't mind paying again for something that you already know
or what this society already monitors.

Then you have no problem paying another Labour stealth tax.

While I am strongly against "stealth taxation" I have to separate that point from the "targetting of the innocent" as so long as such offenders hide away amongst the innocents the vetting procedures are always going to be difficult and expensive to do right. Many innocents are going to have to be vetted before the guilty ones can be discovered.

I am prepared for this even if you are not !"

What do you think this vetting is about -  some deep search?

Obviously it is dressed up to be more then it actually is.

Labour are database and control mad.

We will all pay this stealth tax via Council Tax for all education and other establishments
under Council Control.

It is taxing the tax. Something that Labour are masters at. But they are found out
almost daily ripping the public off.

It is nonsense that this is going to, in some way, root out paedophiles.

We are paying over and over again for checks to be done that should be done
by a proper society in the first place i.e. without stealth tax.

Would you rather that they didn't have general vetting ?

I am not against vetting - but it should not be a stealth tax.

It is something that has always taken place in one form or other.

But this present government take it together with 'licensing'
to idiotic levels, for money making purposes.
