Just one other thing: prior to putting plastic in position water the ground with a solution of copper sulphate dissolved in HOT water. Never fails 1/4 pound per gallon

Have you tried glaring at it disapprovingly?

Oh heck! Sorry scrumpy gotta say I'm feeling the loss deeply more than 50 years driving can't be dismissed.  I await my son (presently in the East with the Lotus blossom) business of course.  He may go with my daughter "enough is enough" but it feels my legs were cut off!  I resurrect old hobbies so maybe I won't be tempted by a wee toy car. I'll tell your fortune if I go back to Astrology🤓😜😀

Hi Firenze,
Very busy trying to rid the world of the twin evils: Socialism and religion!

Avalonmpk2  , I am curious about your desire to rid the world of religion . I am an atheist , therefore I don’t believe in religion , but I understand that the vast majority of people do believe . I am quite happy for them to be content with their beliefs , and would not dream of trying to convince them otherwise . If they like having the comfort blanket of religion , then good for them ,long may they be happy .
What I cannot understand is your desire to impose your beliefs on others . Why can’t you also ‘’ live and let live ‘’ ?
Be happy with your beliefs , but let others be happy with theirs , after all they are doing no harm, are they ?

That doesn't sound like Avalonmpk2 "ridding socialism and religion, methinks he's doing a bit of leg pulling🤓

I surely hope so Firenze because according to his thinking, pensioners in poverty have only themselves to blame after squandering all their life-long income on Spanish holidays and stuff they can't afford on the never-never, posh cars and bingo et-judgemental-cetera instead of contributing to a pension and getting a mortgage and buying a house..
That post was taken off the site but it might have been my answer that was responsible...

My mistake, it's still there...Glad about that..

What is happening to today's pensioners all seem to have lost their senses of humour! But on a serious note: Religion - Just look and listen on the horrors of the partition of the Indian sub-continent - senseless slaughter all on account of a "belief"!

No Avalon, sense of humour is intact and there was nothing at all to suggest that the points you made about 'pensioner poverty' were not your expressed opinions, particularly as they echoed similar recent posts.

Perhaps a wink or grin next time you're kidding would help.
