Card making
« on: Jun 20, 2015, 04:08:47 PM »
As promised to Yellowbird, here are a pics of a couple of cards I've made.  The first two are made from die cuts and the third one is a stamped card with embellishments.  I'm quite new to this so hopefully will improve in time

Really lovely cards! Such a pity I no longer have birthdays :D

Bloody brilliant Deakin! Do you sell them, they're certainly better than a lot of the stuff one sees in Clintons!

Thank you all and c-c, no I don't sell them. To be honest I don't think they're good enough and also I do them because I enjoy doing them, if I did them for sale it would probably become a chore and I wouldn't enjoy it so much

The cards are lovely, Deakin, but I have to agree with you that once a beloved hobby becomes a "for profit" enterprise the joy seems to come to an end.  :) :-*

Thank you, I'm working on some new cards at the moment, my nephew celebrates his 50th birthday soon and I want to do something special when my new grandchild arrives in September so am doing a few practise runs which I'll give to our U3A to sell for charity

Here are a couple of cards I'm in the process of finishing

This one is for my nephew's 50th birthday, I just can't believe that cute little baby is 50, he's also a grandfather now

These are two cards I've made from new border dies, I'm really pleased with the results of these

The last one looks a bit squashed, the petals on the flowers stand out more than the photo shows and the Swarovski crystal centres are a pale pink

Deakin, those are lovely, anyone would be delighted to receive one of them. Funny how the years go by, with 'youngsters', isn't it? How do they turn into middle aged people!

Deakin, these are really lovely.  A friend makes cards and they are so good that I am unable to throw them away!
