;D ;D ;D Firenze.   Sorry I don't do smelling roses - not since an earwig crawled out of one. Dropped that one quick. ;D

firenze, I beg to differ! I have roses: an old and long-established one that is very strong, and comes back even if I prune it right down late. It is blooming away out there now, wih four lovely pink roses on it. I also have miniature varieties: one is a bush now and up to the height of the first floor on the front corner. It has been very pretty but now wants some attention to restore it to its full glory. I have two in the back garden which really are miniatures, and recently we bought a hybrid tea which is slightly scented and produces flowers of a beautiful cream just tinged with pale pink. That's my poetic bit for today!  :)

stellamaris, good to have you back. Frustrating, isn't it, when the technology just won't perform!

Thought I'd get this in quick then I can be a thorn between two roses when Stellamaris answers. ::)

Zoony  ;D  There are still some beautifully scented roses to be had, "The Generous Gardener" being one of them and you don`t need to put your nose anywhere near it, Stellamaris, the scent is intoxicating.  :) :-*
