 :) :) :) :)

This in one of my favourite locations - in the 1970's my Parents had a caravan in a small disused quarry which had the quarry walls on three sides & large trees in front. If you went to the top of the quarry one had a view of Snowdon & the Snowdonian Mountain range. There was no utilities so we had to get water in containers when we were out, & light was the old calor gas mantle lights, heat was switching the oven on for a short while to warm up. There was NO reception for either the radio or TV. The children could play & explore with the minimum of supervision. As I was in a stressful job, to me it was idealic as other than the sound of wildlife, the odd jet flying low through the mountains from RAF Valley in Anglesea, I was able to recharge my batteries so to speak.
Here's a picture:

Can you believe I wanted to live in one of those residential caravan type homes , they all had little balconies and looked so nice

This is the Elan Valley, it's the overflow from Caban-coch Reservoir to be exact, the water behind that dam, is heading for Frankley in Birmingham,

What a good pic Coastal, looks as though the Fall could be noisey!

firenze, it was noisey, as were all the other dams on that day (I went round them all)
This is yet another photo of one of my favorites, Aberystwyth early evening.

Although I've lived in Yorkshire for over forty years, I love views of the river Tay, I grew up in Dundee.

Unfortunately my pics won't load, maybe later,

GrannyMac, what's the problem with your pictures,
and sorry, no pictures of Scotland, I might have a Scottish surname but I've only been there once, just about, to Lockerbie and Lochmaben, (pre 1988) and I didn't have a camera with me at the time.
