That is appalling!
Down south I used to go private for ophthalmology care, and it worked fine. I also used private care for a variety of other problems. Came up here and I was assured that the NHS is so good, I didnít need to seek private care. To be be fair, it hasnít been a problem, but ophthalmology apart, I havenít needed to seek care for anything else of the same magnitude- so who knows?

I am sure there are dozens more questions so far unasked, and many more unanswered.

I think Scotlandís biggest problem would be how to cope with its share of the national debt. Even the most favourable calculations show that Scotland would start life with a debt of at least 80 per cent of its GDP. In addition, like other countries it would have to finance its budget deficit by borrowing even more money.

I have always been amazed why any Scot would want to start so called independence as a third world country.

I wouldnít even rate it that highly. When he was pushing swings, etc., I was SO much hoping one would come back and smack him in the face!
To be serious, if the Tories reckon this is how to win a particular seat, I really tremble for this country
Mike

But it is the way to try & win a seat in Blackburn.

However, I would imagine that most will vote Labour.

All this seems to be crafty way  to force people to go private with not only GPs, dentists, opticians, the lot. at the moment I have a good NHS dentists that I can drive too, but he is no longer accepting NHS patients, so being  curious , I did a check for  the nearest alternative if I needed too, which is 20 miles drive  away. I am lucky, in having someone to drive me there, what about the poor elderly without that help
I spoke to an old friend earlier, he has what  sounds like could be a serious health issue, the earliest he can get even a telephone GP consultation is 8 weeks, they are taking the p**s

Obviously I must be mistaken, but I was under the impression that Blackburn was in England. Clearly not

The video looked like third-rate amateur Bollywood movie. Lol.  ;D

Well I had a good day yesterday.

Our car developed a fault, which I discovered on Tuesday when I was using a silicone spray to lubricate the window channels, whereby the rear nearside passenger window wouldn't wind up unless I kept activating the winder switch & it came up in stops & starts.

To rule out a window motor fault I used the rear door switch & the window came up ok so I took the faulty control unit out of the driver's door, stripped it down & cleaned all the contacts but before I put it back I found a Chinese replacement on Amazon for £9.99, which arrived yesterday.

It works perfectly so I've now got a switch unit that doesn't show the wear that the old one did, which I've kept as a spare.

I don't know how much a garage would have charged to do what took me about 15 minutes as they've have probably stripped the door down to check the window motor.

There are some hilarious YouTube clips with people showing how to strip down this switch & none of them have realised how it can be done in a fraction of the time they took to do it.

What a load of rubbish, particularly treatment by NHS staff as a lot of them are black FGS
