The Chat Room / Re: Train Fares

Hi

We are so far behind other Western European Countries in all sorts of things.

Our Politicians are into Politics, not interested in managing the Country.

Our Infrastructure is largely owned by foreign companies who just take the profits back home with them and do not invest here.

We are only only Country which allows this.

Hi

A chilly start to the day, only 5C at the moment with a very cold wind.

More deliveries to day and I will be doing a whole tray of roast veg to freeze down and a huge Yorkshire.

Lidl had veg at 15p a time yesterday, too cheap to miss.

Have a good day all.

General Discussion / Jonathan MS Pearce

I follow the Ukraine war with great interest. Jonathan a disabled person living in the south of England collects information from a wide range of supporters. It comes in the  form of films off drones and mobile phone footage. Although he has walking difficulties he joined up with Gregg Terry on a ten day visit to Ukraine front line.

Not  going to say any more its up to you now to visit the site and decide if I talk rubbish or not.

Just put the recycling boxes out - it is very cold and, although not raining, feels very damp.
I am being a 'spare pair of ears' today - my next door neighbour, who is profoundly deaf, has asked me to accompany her to a hospital appointment.  Not sure how long it will take, we may stop for lunch somewhere afterwards.

Morning all.

Hope Judd’s link is what you need, Mups. I understand the frustration.

Weather not very nice. We had a very cold wind yesterday, that pained me on the dog walks. So having done a lot of shopping yesterday morning I can stay home. Inbetween more dog outings, of course.

Got the WM going with a clothes wash.

General Discussion / Re: Migrants!
« Last post by mick607 on Yesterday at 06:55:38 AM »

Why not indeed.  This is becoming the most serious of events we are experiencing today.  Even worse is the even greater number of immigrants we invite to come here legally.
One reason, perhaps the most important reason, why the Conservatives are rapidly losing support from the general public.

The really annoying thing, though, is that it appears that most of the voting public seem to be intending to vote for Labour this year.  Surely everyone is fully aware that they will be inviting in even many more immigrants into the country, in the hope that giving them the vote will easily ensure a future Labour government for ever.

If only more people would recognise that Reform is the only political party which would turn things around and prevent even more of these invaders coming here.  It is sad that they feel they cannot vote for Reform simply because it is a new political party, even though it will stand in every constituency.

History books will provide some very 'entertaining' reading in the future.

I couldn't agree more.
