Dancing classes, really?
« on: Nov 05, 2016, 10:18:11 PM »
Hello to all
I have just joined a new dance class aimed at over 60s.  Fine, but can anyone tell me why the movements have degenerated into toe tap, sliding fingers over various body parts, holding chairs and moving like even a five year old would tell you to buck up.  OK, the health and safety fanatics have put the proverbial boot in. Even so, none of us want to be treated as if we are too old to ride the range, before our time. Surely some paid dance teacher with half a nugget could work out now and again. Dancing for us oldies is music from OUR era and moving to our own capabilities in time to the rhythm.  It's all about reliving the moments when dancing was about fun with the reminder that it was our generation who invented rock and roll :o !!! Am I the only one mad about others treating us like retired means retarded?

Welcome to PF Stella. Your class sounds bloody awful. :(
