Blind persons tax allowance
« on: Nov 06, 2017, 04:32:51 PM »
I came across this one and thought it might become more relevant to an older group such as ours.

You need to be registered with your local council as blind or, as it is now termed, severely sight impaired.  This has to be certified by an ophthalmologist.

For 2017 to 2018 you will receive an additional £2320 personal tax allowance.
The vote for Brexit was a vote to take back what we hadn't lost in order to lose what we actually have.

Then you're not clairvoyant either..

That made me smile  ;D

My ex-wife thought I was clairvoyant.

Me: What's wrong my love?"

Her: " Well if you don't know, I'm not telling you!"

I have close experience of Blindness, My pa-in-law was from an early age due to measles.  A happy man in charge of his 7 children with the aid of a razor strop hanging by him.  They didn't believe he would find them..he did!
I hope there was Blind Persons Tax relief in those days as it was sorely needed.
