Hugh, happy birthday!Have you received the good news from the pension people about the massive increase? Don't spend it all at once! We are nearly twins. With all my extra money,I am going on a spending spree next week.

Happy birthday Hugh!  I believe you get an extra £100 Winter Fuel Allowance once you are eighty? A bit more realistic than five bob 😆

Thankyou every one for birth day greeting. I will let you know GrannyMax if I do get an extra £100 winter fuel allowance. I don't really need it, so the money will go to Mansfield John Eastwood hospice where my wife spent her final days. They even had a bed room set up for me to stay. A wonderful place where I was allow to take Roxy in to see Yvonne.

I hope you had a good birthday Hugh and as GrannyMac said, that would be a lovely gesture.

My aunt died recently at the age of 95 and her local hospital had been very good to her.  My cousin organised a collection at the funeral to raise money for a special chair to help people with heart failure to be more comfortable.  She raised £2,000 and the ward manager is delighted and is investigating how many chairs can be bought.

Hi CC will you be staying around for a while and posting some of your wonderful bird pics? How your son doing? I hope he wasn't with Tomas Cook.
