It's really nice to read something like this....with all the evil in this world, it's heartwarming to know that there are good folk around :)

I don't meant to proselytise but there are such folk in most of our urban communities. Older people who've found themselves where they are through nothing other than fate/karma call it what you will but there are lots of us, I count myself as one, who've conspired in our own downfall and find ourselves where we do. I'm sure there's a latin phrase for it but it escapes me..My lord?

Kindness personified.  So lovely for the man, not just to have a decent home, but to know how much those people cared.

A good thing to do, there are lots of unsung heroes out there, IMHO but they seldom get mentioned all the media seem to write about is the arseholes out there.

On a very warm day recently,  I joined a correctly distanced queue at our local sub post office.  After wilting a little in the sun, incredibly a van drew up and the kindly driver started handing out bottles of water to all and sundry.  I was profuse with my thanks and really appreciated his gesture "had to stop friend, you all looked a bit jaded!" he laughingly averred.  What a lovely man!
