Hi Chapo and welcome to the forum. How nice that you have had a former passion rekindled, do let us know how you get on.  :)
Never look down on anyone, unless it is to offer your hand to help them up.

Welcome to the new members.  I have only been scuba diving once as an adult (used to go to a sub aqua club with my Dad when I was a lass) and that was on a holiday in Jamaica.  I did a short course in a swimming pool and then a dive on a reef.  The problem for me was getting back on the boat up a ladder.  I think it was the thought of being left behind that gave me the seemingly superhuman strength to get into the boat with the cylinders on my back.  Apart from the lobster walking along the seabed almost everything else I saw could also be seen with a snorkel and mask nearer the shore.  Lovely memories.

Never had to climb the ladder with the cylinder on my back, sounds to much like hard work for me. I have always taken the gear off in the water, and that gets past up into the boat.
