I too quit smoking, over 15 years ago now.  But I wish to God I'd never started, because I was a heavy smoker for nearly 50 years, and I can't kid myself that has not had an impact on my overall health.

Oh to have the wisdom of years in your youth.

Too many to list :(

Biggest mistake was signing up to my first forum.  One thing has led to another, and here I am, wasting my time by engaging with people who are wasting their's.  😉
Love it!! 🤣🤣🤣

Me neither.  Amazon had nothing, googling "books with squire in title" got nowhere.  Even when the answer was revealed, I googled it to find its not even in print and is only available in some second hand bookshops.

Absolutely.  Used to go out clubbing there when at Uni.  Trying to get a cab back to campus was a bundle of laughs.

Probably too non-PC for Amazon, but it seems you can get it from here. https://bit.ly/3MvNyEV

It was published in serial form weekly in the Telegraph from 1957, then it was compiled into a book in the late 60s. There was a poor comedy series based on it in the early 90s, starring Keith Barron and Reece Dinsdale.

To be fair, I did say it was out of print - took me ages to track down a copy. Bloody expensive too. :)

No college for me - I started work as a callow youth in 1971 to bring some much-needed money into the family coffers. :)

I packed up 26 years ago now.    Best thing I ever did.  Hate the smell of it now.
Mind you,  I don't like the smell of those clouds that 'Vapours'  suck in and blow out all over the place either.    :D
