I didn't know you used to smoke Mups.

A very long time ago, Dongles.I think I started when my mates were  all doing it and telling me to give it a try.     Silly mare!    ::)

Fortunately my lungs and oxygen levels are excellent nowadays apparently.

Blimey,  this is an old thread you've resurrected, Mr. M?
Did you realise it was from 3 years ago?

I'm on holiday in Morecambe in November.
Is there still a Wetherspoon there?

I wouldn't change anything.  I like my life past and present and can't think of any terrible mistakes I've made......no doubt my parents would say different...giggles...

Hi all,,
New on here. My serious mistake in life which I wish I hadn’t done was going in the convent to become a nun. Spend five years there and then came out again at the age of 22. I’m now 82.

Hi Aura.  Do you regret joining, or leaving?

I regret joining. It affected my teenage years very much but it was my choice.   I can’t blame anyone else.

I can't think of anything I really regret.

When we are growing up we all do silly things at times.  I'm sure we've all had our hearts broken -  maybe numerous times even,  or told little porkies to Mum & Dad perhaps,  skived off school occasionally,  went scrumping  etc etc,  but none of those are serious enough to change my life or regret anything.

I firmly believe we need to experience tough things sometimes - as long as we learn from them.We would have a false impression of life if we sailed through it in fairyland,  and never learn how to cope with both good and bad.

I would even say that, as long as we learn from a tough experiences,  it can go a long way to understand others going through the same, as we might not have a clue about empathy otherwise.

Never mind if there is a hereafter think how much credit you have 🙂
It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.
