Nipsy is still played in South Yorkshire and all equipment is hand made and is a VERY skillful game with a minimum of R&Rs.
Reputably invented by coal miners in he 30s.
I used to watch spellbound when I was a boy and glad that some brave souls are trying to keep the game alive Was also known as Knurr & Spell.
