It's no good you trying to bribe my Gertie,  because I taught her 'food refusal'  a long time ago,  so she won't take things off strange men -  and there certainly is none stranger!

You can tell that you've never known what it was like to be hungry. Our diets consisted of drip bread and sugar sandwiches if we were lucky. Not for us, the roast dinners you seem to be obsessed with, but more meagre fare. We cheered when Bonio biscuits were introduced. At one fell swoop, we had access to a foodstuff that was full of goodness and added vitamins. The diet did have a couple of disadvantages, mind you - every time we passed by a lamppost, we had an overriding urge to urinate, and at one time, my little brother got run over after chasing a car.

Ladies,   that poor man's gone quite bonkers.  Chasing cars, and peeing up lamposts . . . .

I have seen signs of it for a while now,  but  the poor dear is definitely on the slippery slope now. 

Perhaps we should put him out of his misery?

Nah !!  Good old nut crackers are the best.. It takes ages.. but we get them off in the end.. We work shifts..
