All creatures great and small - TV series

Started watching this a while back and then it stopped and I discovered it had been bought out by a yankie company and you had to have a vpn and join their site to view. Now a friend in UK has told me its back again on uk tv and without Sigfried??
can anybody elighten?

now gettin more confused watched the entire first series and watched sigfried and james herriot go off to war??
I thought we were shown a few of the new series here with a new everyone actually and then it stopped dead ?/

Not sure what you’ve been watching.  Siegfried served in WW1, Tristan in WW2 and Herriot in neither.

Isn't there a new series showing on CH4 or is it CH5 ... (not for Aussie cinsumption) ...

I prefer the original series so last night I found it on Youtube and enjoyed watching the first two epsiodes .. only Series 1 sadly, but it's still great and very very watchable.

Whilst I was there I also saved the first series of Rising Damp and over 200 episodes of Heartbeat.
Classic stuff is far superior to the rubbish they do now.
