Very nice Beast .... I like the warmth of the colours. I'm trying to think what it reminds me of.
How come you never showed us any of your artwork at the other place?

Perhaps I did Morty lass....But it may have been very early on in the life of the forum.I think it was sort of rebooted at one time and lost all of the early data.

This one was bashed out when I received news of a friend from the 70's I hadn't seen in many years, sadly took his own life.

It’s called the Baobab .
Postings gone funny must be too big

Beastie ... The bars are the finishing touch .... very, what's the word ,,, poignant.
Did you see your friend as a prisoner of his own mind. Trying to escape.
I bet painting that was rather sad.

Love the 'Boabab' tree Muddy. The stark, plain background enhances the effect of the shape of the subject.

This was my very first painting after taking it up again after over 50 years....

I called it....'Dragoons'.

I do portraits if you want one done of your relies 😀
I'd rather have one of my cat - he is much better looking!

I love Lowry and wish I had one .

I was born in Lancashire and his paintings are evocative of an age that is past .

Lowry was a skilled trained artist .

He once said it took him ten years to paint like a child .

Unless I win the lottery  have to paint one for myself 🙂
I like Lowry - as seen in a gallery.  Would much prefer one of yours to hang in my home.

This is my first fake which I painted at school when I was about 15

share images

Seeing it was done with school poster paints it has lasted the test of time .
My mum kept it all of her life
Here is the real McCoy
