Our Broken Justice and Prison System.

Hi

This what years of cuts have left us with, a completely broken system where criminals are released on bail , sometimes for over a year and free to commit further offences.

We have so few prison spaces they get reduced sentences and are then released early.

Interesting food for thought

Yesterday I was reading in the Times where in the Post Office inquiry prosecuting counsel in defence of the wronged Post Masters were calling for past judges to be called to account, prosecuted for their lamentable (non)efforts to afford a fair hearing for the then prosecuted Post Masters. Would that I would see it! All this when we are seeing mass and uncontrolled immigration and the BBC is still pumping out messages for continued war in Ukraine. Its Fawlty Towers on toast!

Labour seem to think they can find lots more prison places, they don't say where from, and then they need more staff to look after them, having found thousands more NHS doctors nurses carers and dentists, no to mention more police etc.

I think it’s a choice between two evils, but what we’re seeing now can’t be blamed on Labour. Perhaps Labour will be better? I suspect not, but I am certain under the Conservatives it will only get worse.
