Drink Driver
« on: Mar 04, 2025, 09:49:05 AM »
A man was moaning he had a 3 year driving ban for running in to a pensioners car while over the drink drive limit.
He said if all the over 60s were taken off the road it would have not happened.
I am not sure if that is correct.

It was not my car. I saw the car and the damage appeared minor. Oddly a driver who was convicted of drink drive who ran in to my car shouted out when am I going to learn to drive.
I think he got it the wrong way round.

You might be onto something here Brian, I read somewhere that 8% of road accidents are caused by drink driving so 92% of accidents are caused by sober driving, it makes a lot of sense to ban sober drivers from the roads to reduce the road toll. Perhaps that is the man you should listen to.

Judging by the number of potholes the car would be safer if you were drunk!
